The Approach

MADE's philosophy.

At MADE, filler is a conversation about architecture — cheekbones, jawline, chin projection, lip proportion, tear troughs — never volume for its own sake. Karlyne trained under the industry's leading facial-balancing injectors, and the goal is always your face rendered in higher resolution, not someone else's.

Clients from McLean, Tysons, Great Falls and across Northern Virginia choose MADE for our restraint. We would rather build in two sessions than overfill in one. Symmetry, structure, and the quiet confidence that comes from a face that reads as effortlessly you.

Benefits

Why clients choose it.

  • Restores lost volume and structure in a single visit
  • Balances proportions across the whole face
  • Immediate, natural-looking results
  • Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if ever needed
  • Built gradually — never overfilled
  • Minimal downtime

How It Works

The science, simply.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are gels made from a sugar your skin already produces. Placed precisely, they restore volume, lift and define areas that have flattened or lost structure with time.

Facial balancing looks at the whole face rather than one feature, so small amounts in the right places create harmony — not obvious 'work.'

Your Visit

What to expect.

  1. 01

    Assessment

We map how your face moves at rest and in expression, review your history, and build a plan with you.

  2. 02

    Treatment

About 45–60 minutes. Ice and numbing are available, and every step is explained as we go.

  3. 03

    Follow-up

We check in at two weeks to review your result and make any refinements.

Results Timeline

Week by week.

  1. Same day

You'll see the shape immediately, with some swelling.

  2. Day 2–3

Swelling peaks and begins to settle. Any bruising fades over the week.

  3. Week 2

Filler has integrated and softened — this is your true result. We review it at follow-up.

  4. 6–18 months

Results gradually soften depending on the product and area. Maintenance keeps things consistent.

Filler Dissolving & Correction

The Reset.

Unhappy with filler from somewhere else? Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. We assess the area, dissolve what's needed, and rebuild only when your tissue has settled.

The Reset (filler dissolving) is $400 and starts with an assessment.

Prepare & Aftercare

Before & after.

Before your visit

  • Avoid blood thinners and fish oil for 5–7 days, if cleared by your doctor
  • No alcohol for 24 hours
  • No dental work 2 weeks before or after treatment
  • Arrive with a clean face

After your treatment

  • Ice gently to reduce swelling
  • Sleep with your head elevated the first night
  • No strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
  • No facial massage or facials for 2 weeks

Never stop a prescribed medication without speaking to your doctor first. We'll send full written instructions when you book.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

How long do fillers last?+

Depending on the product and treatment area, results often last 6–18 months. Lip and tear-trough fillers typically metabolize faster than cheek and jaw filler.

Will I look overfilled?+

Not at MADE. Our philosophy is anatomy-first, conservative dosing, and building slowly. Karlyne is known across McLean and Tysons for her restraint — subtle results that look native to your face.

Is filler reversible?+

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers (Restylane, RHA) can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if ever needed — one of the reasons they remain our preferred family of products.

How much does filler cost in Northern Virginia?+

Filler is priced by syringe and varies by product and area. Facial balancing plans start at $3,500. We confirm your plan and quote at consultation. Call (703) 928-2241 or book online.

How soon can I return to work?+

Most clients return the same or next day. Mild swelling and occasional bruising resolve within 48–72 hours. We time treatments around your calendar.

Needle or cannula?+

Both have a place. A blunt cannula can reduce bruising in some areas; a fine needle gives precision in others. Karlyne chooses the safest tool for each area.

Does lip filler hurt?+

Our fillers contain lidocaine and we apply topical numbing first. Most clients describe pressure more than pain.

Can I get filler before a wedding or event?+

Yes — book at least 2–4 weeks ahead so swelling settles and there's time for a follow-up if needed.

What is vascular occlusion and how do you keep me safe?+

It's a rare complication where filler blocks a blood vessel. We reduce the risk with detailed anatomy knowledge, careful technique and product choice, and we keep hyaluronidase on hand to act immediately if it's ever needed.
